Class Tuition

Classes

Performing arts is our passion, and we look forward to showing you what it's all about. We are the only studio in Columbia to belong to Dance Masters of America and IDEA.

Intermediate and advanced level classes (Levels 2 to 5) range in age and are based on ability.

Please call or email Miss Jeanne for further information.

Dance Attire

Leotard and tights are required for all dance classes, along with the appropriate shoes. Any color is acceptable.

Please note:

  • Dance shoes should never be worn on the street.

  • Tights must be worn for all dance classes (even when it gets hot).

  • Leotard and trunks (or underwear) are required for tumbling and acrobatic gymnastics classes.

  • Students may wear socks, or bare feet.

  • Hair should always be tied securely back from the face, as not to interfere with dancing or tumbling.

  • Students should wear pants, shorts, or a skit that covers their leotard and tights when coming to and going from the studio. This is an important rule, as it teaches how dancers and tumblers should conduct themselves.

Tuition

Tuition is based on the number of hours per week a student is in class and may be paid by the month (due on the first class of the month) or by the semester (due in September and January).

Discount for Multiple Students

A 10% family discount is available for families with two or more students. Tuition is considered late after the 10th of the month. Please note, we do not offer an option to pay by the class except during summer session.

Attendance

Regular class attendance is necessary in order to ensure that your student can progress and learn in a manner that benefits them most.

Perfect attendance awards are given at the end of the season. Please see the Studio Policies for further details.

Perfect Attendance/Make-up Classes:

Perfect attendance awards are given at the end of our dance year (in June). To get an award for perfect attendance the student must attend all regularly scheduled classes since enrollment.

If a class is missed, the student is encouraged to make-up the class in any other class of the same level.

NOTE: All missed classes must be made-up before Memorial Day weekend.

Studio Policies

Watching Class

Parents are welcome to watch class at any time. There is a comfortable room with a one-way mirror for observation. Please do not enter the studio while class is in session. No food or drink (except water) is allowed in the studio. Thanks for your cooperation on keeping our facility clean.

Holidays

We will take the following Holidays (these holidays will be posted on the studio calendar):

  • Thanksgiving (Wednesday through Saturday)

  • Christmas and New Years (usually about two weeks)

  • Spring Break (same as Columbia Public Schools)

  • Memorial Day

Inclement Weather

It is sometimes necessary to close the studio due to bad weather. If the weather looks threatening, please check our News & Updates page or our Facebook page, or call the studio (573) 489-4809. I will make the decision to have classes at least two hours before the start of classes.

I do not necessarily always follow Columbia Public Schools direction. If classes are in session, and you feel it is not safe to come, it will be an excused absence.
